Its always fun as a photography team to get out and about when the weather is nice and shoot beautiful people. Thats why when Reflex Supplements called us up earlier this year to generate some new marketing content for their company, we JUMPED at the opportunity.
We packed up all the gear, and I do mean ALL the gear and headed off Coquitlam, BC to the amazing location.
On Day 1, we arrived on set before sunrise and left well after sundown and shot nearly 3000 images over that time.
With the plethora of models and the great team, it made this shoot so fun and lively that the long day didn’t seem that long.
We love taking out our Profoto gear out into the field and pushing the gear to its full potential. The Profoto B1’s paired with the Profoto Deep Silver Umbrella was the go to set-up on day one as will as taking out the more powerful Pro-B3 pack with the same light shaping tools when the extra power was needed. It was also a great opportunity to put the then brand new Nikon D850 through its paces in every aspect from hi-speed movement to a studio like environment, shooting nearly 7000 images in two days without a hiccup.
Have a look at some of the amazing content we managed to shoot on the first day:
Day 2 started out nice enough with some outdoor running scenes and an amazing outdoor area near the Innovative fitness gym in Port Moody, BC. The weather then turned to muck and we headed inside the gym to capture the rest of the shot list we had. Besides the outdoor shots it was nice to try and bring a more studio lighting feel to the images like you can see in the last couple of images from day 2. Our trusty Profoto 7A packs were perfect in the gym environment and we managed to shoot another couple thousand images without one problem.
Here are some of the highlight shots from day 2:
A super fun 2 days was had by all, with lots of laughs and sore muscles from holding the poses way too long. We managed to create some incredible content for Reflex supplements to use in upcoming marketing and some great portfolio pieces for us. Have a look at this BTS video taken on the day that shows how much work was was put in and also how much fun everyone had. A huge thanks to all the models and people on set for all the hard work, it was a great atmosphere to work in and I think the images reflect that completely.
