Face The World Today Gala
I felt honoured when I was asked to photograph The Face World Today Gala this year.
After being there personally, I came to realize what an amazing job Kasondra and Jacqui Cohen are doing for charity work in Vancouver and Canada.
Here is a small selection of many images that captured the amazing atmosphere of the event.
An exquisite venue near the University district in Vancouver played host to the event that raised nearly $1 million for smaller organizations helping abused children, battered women, the hungry, the homeless, seniors and youth with a brighter future.
Kasondra Cohen-Herrendorf and Mother Jacqui Cohen joined the forces of their Face of today and Face the world charities for this elegant event to raise greatly needed funds to give back to people in need.
Here is a short press release on the events website:
” The passion, power and generosity of generations came together at the inaugural Face the World Today Gala, hosted on May 13th by Jacqui Cohen and Kasondra Cohen-Herrendorf.
Young philanthropists and up-coming influencers focused on affecting change joined with an established force of business, community and social leaders who have shaped and lead Vancouver’s charitable giving for decades. It was a room filled with Angels.
The results were simply… extraordinary!
Guests dined on incredible cuisine by Hawksworth, sipped beautiful bubbles from Tattinger, laughed and did a a bit of dirty dancing poolside with DiRTY RADiO.
And when it came time to give, hands were held high and generosity flowed. Art and adventure topped the list for both the Live and Silent Auctions. Art and adventure topped the lists. Plus balloons chock full of treats, a raffle and the inspirational Auction for Cause garnered top dollar.
Almost one million dollars was raised to support smaller, local organizations in need and provide so many with a brighter future. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
It was a party with purpose indeed! #partywithpurpose “
